Job Description:

The GTB Delivery Team within the TDS Data, Delivery and Integration group is responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects impacting the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) business of TD Securities (TDS). Projects in this space will be in support of various business-driven, regulatory, and industry initiatives. To deliver on this mandate, the team partners closely with stakeholder groups from across TD including members of the GTB businesses, GTB technology, Operations, Payments Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and others.

The Business Analysis Specialist is accountable to the Project Delivery Lead and oversees the end-to-end delivery of requirements throughout the lifecycle of large scale/complex projects. Acting as a liaison between Business and Technology team members, you will provide advisory support and guidance to Product Management resources, stakeholders and executives of the projects across multiple Lines of Business as you work to transform high level business objectives into actionable and detailed requirements.

Job Accountabilities
  • Plans, manages, leads and oversees the end-to-end delivery of requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project in alignment with the business and/or enterprise needs and strategies.
  • Assess, document and validate current state processes, understanding the problem statement and business needs to deliver effective solutions that address business problems and align to strategic business goals.
  • Assesses the needs of a business client and looks for opportunities to develop and grow the business through effective use of technology; collaborates with Business Analysts and other Technology professionals to determine if solutions currently exist (internally or externally) or whether new solutions are feasible, and determine how such solutions will impact existing work processes and systems, and how to manage the integration.
  • Provides support and input to the required documentation/deliverables and monitor/assess to mitigate risks, escalate blockers and ensure quality outputs and track progress.
  • Ensures end-to-end requirements traceability back to business objectives.
  • Provides recommendations on alternatives or trade-offs with respect to business requirements to ensure Target Operating Model and business objectives are achieved.
  • Responsible for identification of data requirements and quality, working jointly with Data Stewards.
  • Provides support maintaining alignment across pods and include the right people in refinement sessions based on their knowledge of the processes for more complex initiatives.
  • For more complex initiatives, coordinates with business analysts across different areas to ensure quality of requirements and escalate blockers.
  • Provide support other Analysts and Business stakeholders by sharing understanding of data inputs & outputs for assigned systems.
  • Provide support to Technology teams to define, document and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications taking into account nonfunctional requirements.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experiences
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with Corporate Cash Management, Corporate Treasury, Transaction Banking and/or Payments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with formal requirements elicitation, analysis techniques, process design, re-engineering, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Confluence and JIRA.
  • Strong technical skills to enable data/system analysis.
  • Superior organizational skills, including ability to employ systematic approach for identifying and tracking dependencies, ensuring proper resolution of outstanding items, and structuring efficient stakeholder meetings/discussions.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently apply expert judgment with available information when proposing solutions/recommendations.
  • Strong organization, follow-up and priority-setting skills to handle multiple tasks/projects and to work independently.
  • Remain flexible with shifting priorities and ability to function under deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Able to analyze complex issues from multiple perspectives and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Able to think critically, beyond the status quo, and provide innovative/creative solutions to existing problems.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task effectively and independently within a fast-paced environment
  • Is not inhibited by organizational boundaries and is comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity.

Education Requirements
  • A post-secondary academic degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or other quantitative discipline required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certification or actively working towards is preferred.
