KPMG is seeking a Strategic Operations Manager to deliver high-level support to the Office of the CEO. This pivotal role is designed to drive the firm's Big Bets. Key initiatives will encompass leading strategic initiatives, competitive intelligence research, comprehensive market scans, and the creation of impactful communications and proposals that will guide decision-making for the broader strategy and operations team.

This position is essential for aligning strategic objectives with operational execution, ensuring that KPMG remains at the forefront of industry developments and client needs. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management, analytical skills and strategic insight, enabling them to contribute significantly to the firm's growth and success.

This position will require regular in-person attendance in our Toronto office.

What you will do
  • Enhance Decision-Making: Collaborate closely with the Office of the CEO and executive leaders to deliver strategic initiatives and elevate decision-making processes.
  • Strengthen Client Relationships: Organize impactful client seminars, events, and educational initiatives to deepen relationships and uncover new business development opportunities.
  • Drive Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead implementation of critical strategic initiatives that align with business objectives through comprehensive market research, focusing on competitive intelligence and emerging market trends.
  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with client service teams and Partners to extract valuable insights, identifying areas for enhancement and nurturing a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Craft Strategic Communications: Develop compelling communications that inform and guide decision-making for the Office of the CEO.
  • Generate Actionable Insights: Leverage internal and external data to produce insights, translating findings into actionable reports that support informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate Marketing Efforts: Collaborate with internal communication and marketing teams to enhance internal communications, external marketing, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Project Management: Take ownership for project management from kick off to delivery and providing regular and proactive status updates to program owners and leadership. Act as point person on key unplanned special projects that support the Office of the CEO mandate.


What you bring to the role
  • Experience in a consulting/ client services role
  • Excellent understanding of KPMG's business framework and services
  • Experience in project or program management
  • Experience developing and delivering against project management schedules and action plans in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with proven experience navigating complex stakeholder relationships to achieve successful outcomes
  • Experience conducting market research and synthesize insights for relevant implications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior written communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt communication style based on the application and audience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly and articulately identify and define problems and develop creative solutions
  • Proactive in anticipating team needs and managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
