The Opportunity:
WSP is seeking a 4, 8, or 12 month Co-op student in the Civil Engineering program to join our Track Team with the Rail & Transit department for the May 2025 Term. The position is based in Vancouver and will be reporting to the Manager, Rail & Transit - Calgary or Winnipeg. This position will be responsible for supporting both heavy and light rail related projects.

What you can expect to do here:
- Support senior engineers with heavy and light rail related engineering drawings, contract documents, quantity/cost calculations, and coordination tasks;
- Work with tight schedules, be flexible, and maintain a very high quality for all assigned work;
- Support project tasks, based on an understanding of the project scope, schedule, and budget, under the direction of project Managers and Coordinators;
- Assist with report writing;
- Assist with other transit related projects;
- Facilitate meetings with designers and clients to discuss and manage track interfaces for complex Rail & Transit projects;
- Perform general office duties, such as assisting with the preparation of proposals;
- Some field work may be required; and
- Other duties as assigned/required
What you'll bring to WSP:
Salary range (in British Columbia): $24/hr- $31.75/hr
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. What you'll bring to WSP:
- Enrolled in a Civil Engineering Co-op program (preferably 4th year students);
- Excellent academic record;
- Excellent technical, analytical writing, and presentation skills;
- Familiar with MS office, Excel, Autocad and Civil 3d;
- Strong communication skills verbally and written;
- Willingness to learn;
- And a proven ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams.
