    The Financial Analyst Manager gathers business unit financial and performance data to generate value-added reporting and analysis of the AEF (Auto Equipment Finance) group of companies. The financial analyst manager plays an integral part in providing senior management with relevant information to make informed strategic business decisions on the business unit's performance. This involves the development, composition and analysis of in-depth financial planning models. The Financial Analyst Manager interacts with internal stakeholders to develop, prepare and present monthly reporting (i.e. NIMs, dashboard results, risk reporting, portfolio reporting) as requested by the Senior Manager, Operations Analysis or other Senior Management. The Financial Analyst Manager collaborates with CCS Finance and compiles the AEF monthly financial statements, reviews results for accuracy, and provides detailed variance analysis to the Senior Manager, Operations Analysis. The Financial Analyst Manager collaborates with AEF Audit & Documentation to compile sales compensation and ensures accurate preparedness for submission to HR payroll for each pay period. This position is an integral part of the annual planning cycle, as it provides detailed driver-based models in key categories with sufficient flexibility for scenario-based analysis. The financial analyst manager will participate in new initiatives and projects and provide post-initiative analysis of the successes and learnings.

    What you'll get to do:
  • Prepare interpretation and analysis of business results, financial modelling, and forecasting for business partners.
  • Provide insight into drivers of financial performance to understand the business operations better.
  • Develop driver-based models for the annual planning/budgeting process.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners to ensure an understanding of the business and business drivers.
  • Prepare and may participate in delivering and presenting modelling information to various stakeholders, including management, executives, business units, AEF Board members and auditors.
  • Liaise with business partners and utilize enterprise knowledge of AEF strategic business drivers to ensure the analysis provided is relevant and actionable.
  • Research and develop complex driver-based planning models to assist business partners with better decision-making.
  • Collaborate with key departments (i.e. Sales, Credit, CCS Finance, etc...) to enhance and develop financial planning models.
  • Maintain and enhance driver-based planning to assist the management team in decision-making.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of sales compensation models and submissions to CCS HR payroll.
  • Develop and maintain AEF Finance key policies, guidelines and procedural manuals for review by AEF senior management.
  • Regularly conduct post-reviews to assess completeness and opportunities for improvement in planning models.

  • Who are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's Degree or a diploma requiring 3 - 4 years of full-time study in Business Administration and an Accounting Designation (CPA) with 2 years of post-designation experience.
  • Minimum 7 - 9 Years of Job-Related Experience.
  • Must have at least 5 years experience with business case development and business modelling and a good working knowledge of IFRS.
  • Must have at least 7 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in accounting standards and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience with MS suite of products (Excel) and business modelling software.
